UOB gold price Singapore
UOB offers several ways to access gold in Singapore, including physical gold bars and coins as well as its Gold Savings Account. UOB's rates are product-specific and differ depending on whether the bank is buying or selling. Gold.com.sg can make those numbers more useful by placing them beside a consistent Singapore gold reference.

What is the UOB gold price today?
There is no single UOB gold price. UOB publishes different rates depending on the product and whether the bank is buying or selling. The useful question is: which UOB gold product am I looking at, and am I buying it from UOB or selling it back?
The UOB selling price is the price relevant when you buy a specified product. The UOB buying price applies when UOB is prepared to buy an eligible product from you. These rates can differ from the underlying market value because you are dealing with a specific physical or account-based product rather than raw wholesale gold.
Why is UOB's gold price different from spot?
International gold markets are commonly quoted in US dollars per troy ounce. UOB sells specific gold products in Singapore dollars. A proper comparison needs to account for currency, weight, fineness, product type, product premium, and whether the quote is a buy or sell rate.
For physical gold, UOB says its gold-bar prices are based on international gold prices adjusted for Singapore market conditions. Its bullion-coin prices include a premium over international gold prices. For the broader explanation, see how gold pricing works in Singapore.
What physical gold does UOB sell?
UOB currently offers physical gold through its Gold & Silver service. Its online purchase flow currently lets customers choose between Kilobar and Small bar. UOB also states that a range of gold coins and gold bars may be available, subject to stock. Exact products and denominations should be shown from UOB's current live product or availability source rather than hard-coded into this article.
Who can buy physical gold from UOB?
Under UOB's current rules, you must be at least 18 years old and hold an existing UOB Singapore account. UOB states that physical-gold purchases are currently limited to its existing Singapore customers.
How do you buy a UOB gold bar?
For customers with access to UOB Personal Internet Banking, UOB currently recommends purchasing physical gold online and then arranging appointment-based collection. Branch purchases are appointment-only because of high demand. For the full process, see how to buy a gold bar from UOB.
Where do you collect UOB gold?
Current online purchases are collected from the UOB Main Branch Gold Counter at 80 Raffles Place. UOB currently requires collection by appointment. For online purchases, collection must be made within 10 working days from the transaction date, excluding weekends and public holidays. Because collection procedures can change, this section should carry a visible checked date.
Is UOB gold always available?
No. A published price does not guarantee stock. UOB says popular gold-bar designs can become unavailable and that availability is first-come, first-served. UOB's current FAQ also states a purchase limit for PAMP bars of five pieces per denomination, per customer, per week. Availability should therefore be checked with UOB before relying on any product shown on Gold.com.sg.
Can you sell gold back to UOB?
UOB currently allows customers to walk in to its Gold Counter to sell eligible physical gold back to the bank; no appointment is currently required for sell-back. That does not mean UOB will buy any gold product. UOB's current sell-back terms require eligible products, satisfactory proof of purchase, intact UOB packaging/seal and the applicable account status. Accepted bars or coins must have been originally bought from UOB Singapore or OUB Singapore.
What is the UOB Gold Savings Account?
The Gold Savings Account, or GSA, gives customers gold exposure measured in grams without requiring them to collect a physical bar each time they buy. Customers can buy and sell GSA gold electronically after the account has been opened. UOB currently says existing GSA customers can transact through Personal Internet Banking or UOB TMRW. For the full account guide, see what is a UOB Gold Account.
UOB physical gold vs Gold Savings Account
| Feature | UOB physical gold | UOB Gold Savings Account |
|---|---|---|
| What you hold | Physical bar or coin | Account-based gold balance |
| Physical possession | Yes | No unless converted |
| Storage | Buyer responsibility | No personal physical storage |
| Purchase method | Physical product transaction | Account transaction |
| Pricing | Product buy/sell rate | Account buy/sell rate |
| Ongoing fee | Product-dependent costs | GSA service charge applies |
| Exit route | Eligible physical buy-back route | Electronic account sale |
These are different ways of accessing gold. The GSA should not be treated as simply an electronic version of a physical bar without considering fees, spreads, storage and possession.
How does UOB compare with bullion dealers?
A blanket ranking would be misleading. Instead, compare the same product characteristics: product range, selling price, buy-back, availability, collection, account requirement, and storage. The most useful price comparison is same weight + same fineness + similar product + same timestamp.
Is UOB gold GST-free?
It depends on the product. Singapore exempts qualifying Investment Precious Metals from GST — the IRAS criteria determine whether a specific product qualifies. Being sold by a bank does not, by itself, make a gold product GST-exempt. Read more about 999 gold and investment-gold treatment.
