1kg Gold Price Singapore
A 1kg gold bar contains 1,000 grams, so its underlying value is derived from the current per-gram reference and exact fineness. A kilobar is still a specific physical product, however, so its actual dealer price, buy-back treatment, storage suitability and resale process can differ from its theoretical gold value.

Current 1kg bullion products
Customer price is the dealer’s standard public single-unit price where one exists. Premium and spread require a verified product identity, current reference data and a comparable sell observation; otherwise they show “—”. Partial or incomparable observations can never win a “lowest” sort. How we compare.
What is a kilobar?
A kilobar is a gold bar weighing one kilogram. Exact fineness and manufacturer specifications vary by product. Cast and minted kilobars exist, and a 1kg PAMP cast bar is not automatically equivalent to another refiner’s 1kg bar for product-level comparisons. Do not treat one dealer’s kilobar specification as a definition of every 1kg gold product.
Large-denomination economics
A kilobar concentrates a large value into a single product. The premium per gram can be lower than on smaller bars, but the trade-off is much less flexibility: if you need to sell only part of your holding, you cannot split a kilobar while preserving its original product identity, packaging and resale characteristics. Storage and withdrawal implications also matter at this value.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a 1kg gold bar worth?
The underlying reference value is shown above. An actual kilobar has its own dealer price that includes a premium.
Is a kilobar GST-exempt?
Only if the specific product qualifies under Singapore’s IPM rules. Purity alone is not sufficient.
Why buy 1kg rather than smaller bars?
A larger denomination can reduce the premium per gram, but it requires more capital and offers less flexibility when selling part of a holding. The decision depends on your liquidity needs, not on a universal “best” size.
