Singapore IPM Eligibility Checker
Singapore exempts qualifying Investment Precious Metals (IPM) from GST. This screening tool checks whether a gold product appears to meet the selected IPM criteria — including purity, refiner status and product form.
It is a guide only. Only IRAS can confirm GST treatment for a specific product. High purity alone does not make every gold product GST-exempt.

What the checker evaluates
- Purity: at least 99.5% for bars/ingots/wafers (or prescribed purity for qualifying coins).
- Refiner: produced by a refiner on the current or former LBMA Good Delivery List (for bars), or otherwise capable of trading on the international bullion market.
- Form: a non-decorative investment bar, ingot, wafer or qualifying coin — not jewellery or a collectible.
