TradingView for Gold — Charts, XAU/USD & Price Analysis
What is TradingView for gold?
TradingView is charting and market-analysis infrastructure. It may support broker integrations, but it is not the underlying gold investment itself. You can use it to chart gold quotations such as XAU/USD, gold futures or gold ETFs — but charting is a different job from taking gold exposure or owning bullion.
Critical distinction
TradingView is charting/market-analysis software and may support broker integrations, but it is not the underlying gold investment. Verify current product mechanics before final publication.
What is TradingView?
TradingView is a platform for charting, technical analysis and market data. Users can view price charts, apply indicators, set alerts and share analysis. It is widely used by traders for visual market analysis across many instruments, including gold. Current product mechanics should be verified against TradingView's own documentation.
How to chart gold
Where currently available, TradingView may offer charting for symbols such as:
- XAU/USD — the gold quotation in US dollars. See XAU/USD explained.
- Gold futures — exchange-traded gold contracts. See gold futures.
- Gold ETFs — exchange-traded gold products. See gold ETFs.
Candlestick charts
Candlesticks display open, high, low and close prices for a given timeframe. They are a common way to visualise price action. This is educational only — not a trading signal.
Timeframes
Charts can be viewed across timeframes (for example intraday, daily, weekly). Different timeframes suit different analytical purposes. Gold does not recommend a specific timeframe.
Moving averages
Moving averages smooth price data over a chosen period. They are a common trend-following indicator. Educational only — not a buy or sell signal.
RSI
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a momentum oscillator. It is one of many indicators available for analysis. Educational only.
MACD
MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) is a trend/momentum indicator. Educational only — not a trading recommendation.
Alerts
TradingView supports chart and price alerts — notifications when a price or indicator condition is met. These are analysis alerts, not buy or sell signals. For Singapore SGD gold price alerts, see Gold Price Alerts.
