Best place to sell gold in Singapore

No single gold buyer is automatically "best" for every item. The best place to sell a recognised bullion bar may not be the best place for a broken 916 chain. A better question is: which buyer is suited to what I have, and which gives me the strongest verified final offer?

If you're selling 916 jewellery

Look for buyers experienced in jewellery and scrap-gold valuation. Compare assessed weight, assessed purity, per-gram rate, deductions and final amount payable.

If you're selling recognised bullion

Compare bullion dealers and any issuer-specific buy-back route available for the product. The manufacturer, condition, assay packaging and documentation may matter.

If you're selling broken jewellery

The design may have little value to the buyer. The assessment may focus primarily on recoverable gold. That can make a specialist gold buyer more relevant than a luxury jewellery reseller.

If you're selling a bank-issued product

Check the issuing bank's current buy-back rules before assuming it will accept the gold. UOB's current rules, for instance, limit its buy-back route to qualifying products originally bought from UOB or OUB and impose account, proof-of-purchase and condition requirements.

How to compare buyers properly

Don't rank buyers using one advertised number. Instead compare the final cash payable for the same item at approximately the same time. That comparison captures much of what matters: purity assessment, weight, rate, deductions and spread.

What does "best" mean to you?

Highest price may be the main criterion. But depending on the transaction, you may also care about speed, transparent testing, payment method, documentation, convenient location and product expertise. Gold Singapore should expose the comparable facts rather than turn a commercial relationship into an unsupported "best" ranking.
