    UOB Physical Gold in Singapore

Eligible UOB/OUB-origin items require satisfactory proof of purchase and intact packaging. UOB’s Gold Savings Account is a separate product.

Who can buy physical gold from UOB?

UOB says physical-gold purchasers must be at least 18 and have an existing UOB Singapore account. Bring the identification documents specified for your customer status. Customers who opened an account online may need to update their specimen signature at a branch; UOB indicates that verification can take at least 72 hours. Account eligibility matters before you compare a quoted gold price with another provider’s offer.

What bars and coins does UOB list?

UOB publishes bank prices for specific bar and coin denominations, while its separate availability page indicates whether products can be obtained over the counter. A listed bank price is not proof that a particular bar or coin is in stock or can be reserved. Some previously listed coin products are explicitly described as no longer available. Check the exact product and current availability before arranging purchase.

Where are UOB’s physical gold prices published?

UOB’s official Gold and Silver Prices page distinguishes “BANK SELLS”, the bank’s indicative customer purchase price, from “BANK BUYS”, its indicative price when buying back an eligible item. Those columns should not be confused with the underlying Gold.com.sg reference, a binding offer, a guaranteed sell-back or a promise of available stock. Check the product row and rates-as-at date. If that date is old, Gold.com.sg should describe the price as historical rather than current.

Gold.com.sg does not calculate a product premium unless the exact product, fineness, comparable SGD reference, price basis and observation times align. Read how UOB physical gold rates work in the existing Learn guide.

No current independently verified executable UOB quote is available in this profile. Check UOB’s official date-labelled indicative bank rates and confirm directly before transacting.

How do you buy UOB physical gold?

For eligible customers with Personal Internet Banking, UOB describes the route as Investment → Gold and Silver → Physical Gold → Kilobar or Small bar. Payment is debited from the customer’s eligible UOB current or savings account. UOB also offers appointment-based purchases at its Main Branch counter, including for customers without the online route or products not available online. Availability and appointment confirmation remain separate from the bank’s published price table.

Before paying: confirm which product is available, which account will be debited, how an appointment will be obtained, and the collection deadline.

Where and when must you collect UOB gold?

Online-purchased physical gold is collected by appointment at UOB Main Branch Gold Counter, 80 Raffles Place, UOB Plaza 1, Banking Hall Basement, Singapore 048624. UOB states that online gold can be collected from the next business day and must be collected within 10 working days of purchase. The purchasing account holder must collect personally with the required ID; the ordinary joint-account co-holder cannot collect in the buyer’s place. Published online-purchase collection hours are Monday–Friday, 9:30am–4:30pm excluding public holidays.

Important booking check: appointment capacity may be limited. Verify a suitable slot before purchasing and ask UOB how the collection deadline and any late charges apply if available slots are insufficient. Late collection may incur charges under UOB’s terms. Confirm current charges and collection arrangements directly with UOB before purchasing.

Do not confuse this service window with Gold Savings Account physical-conversion hours.

Can you sell physical gold back to UOB?

UOB states that its physical gold buy-back applies to eligible bars or coins originally purchased from UOB Singapore or OUB Singapore. UOB may require satisfactory purchase invoices, original intact UOB seal or packaging, and acceptable item condition. Account-holder requirements also apply, subject to rules for certain older purchases. The bank may refuse a sell-back. Published “BANK BUYS” rates do not override these acceptance conditions.

UOB currently says selling eligible physical gold back at the Gold Counter is walk-in, unlike appointment-only buying and collection. Confirm the counter hours and account/document requirements first.

Historical-rule conflict: UOB’s web rate/availability pages and published PDF terms carry different dates for certain account-holder cutovers. Do not state one historical cutoff date as settled until UOB provides authoritative confirmation.
    How gold buy-back prices work

Is a UOB Gold Savings Account the same as a physical bar?

No. A Gold Savings Account records bank gold exposure in grams and has its own account, pricing and service terms; a purchased physical bar or coin is an identifiable bullion item requiring collection and custody. A physical-conversion facility does not mean account holders automatically own a particular bar. For minimums, fees and conversion mechanics, see the existing UOB Gold Savings Account guide.

Research checked 26 October 2026 (SGT) against UOB’s published purchase guide, physical-gold FAQ, indicative rate page, availability page and terms PDF. These are UOB-published rules, not Gold.com.sg approval or a guarantee of customer service. Current stock, individual appointment slot availability and the executable buy/sell-back amount require confirmation with UOB. Historical rate rows are not live prices.

How does UOB compare with specialist bullion dealers?

Gold.com.sg does not rank providers as “best” or “cheapest.” A bank physical-gold purchase and a specialist dealer purchase are different routes with different eligibility, product, collection and buy-back terms. Compare the same product characteristics — weight, fineness, price, buy-back, collection and storage — to make an objective comparison.

Will UOB buy back any gold I bring?

UOB's buy-back applies to eligible bars or coins originally purchased from UOB Singapore or OUB Singapore, subject to satisfactory proof of purchase, intact packaging and acceptable condition.
