How bar size affects the economics
Smaller bars generally carry a higher premium per gram because fabrication, assaying and packaging costs are spread over less gold. Larger bars (like the 1kg kilobar) typically offer tighter pricing per gram but require more capital and offer less flexibility if you later want to sell only part of your holding.
