    How density screening works

    The tool calculates volume from the item's dimensions (length × width × thickness for a bar, or π × radius² × thickness for a coin) and divides the measured mass by that volume to estimate density.

    If the calculated density is broadly consistent with the expected range for high-purity gold, the item passes this initial screen. If it differs materially, further verification is warranted.
