    What Poh Heng offers

    Poh Heng's official website and current terms support these customer routes:

    • gold and gemstone jewellery, including 22K/916.67, 24K/999 and 18K/750 products;
    • selected gold bars and medallions;
    • online ordering with boutique collection or delivery options;
    • cash buy-back for eligible Poh Heng 22K/916.67 and 24K/999 gold jewellery; and
    • trade-in routes with separate eligibility and valuation terms.

    The official boutique locator listed 19 Singapore locations when checked on 18 October 2026. Use the current locator for addresses and opening hours rather than relying on a static list.

    What do Poh Heng's 916 and 999 rates mean?

    Poh Heng displays changing 22K/916.67 and 24K/999 gold rates on its website and says checkout pricing is based on the prevailing gold rate. These are retailer-published inputs to a jewellery transaction. They are not the same as Gold.com.sg's underlying metal-content reference value, an investment-bullion spot quote or a guaranteed cash buy-back rate.

    A displayed per-gram rate does not, by itself, establish the final price of a finished item. The exact payable amount depends on the specific product and checkout, including its weight or fixed price, workmanship or design components where applicable, stones or other components, discounts, and GST. Poh Heng's current terms say website prices are in Singapore dollars and include GST. Check the item page and final checkout total before paying.

    To estimate the underlying gold-content value separately, use Gold.com.sg's 916 gold reference guide or choose the appropriate fineness in the Scrap Gold Calculator.

    Buying online or at a boutique

    Poh Heng's current terms allow online payment by credit card, debit card or bank transfer, with payment required in full before an order is processed and shipped. The site describes standard and same-day delivery conditions and permits self-collection from a selected boutique. Availability, delivery dates, charges and collection requirements depend on the order shown at checkout.

    Orders are subject to Poh Heng's acceptance and product availability. Its terms say customers cannot change an order after payment and cannot cancel it once it has been processed and shipped, or once delivery has been arranged. Poh Heng may refuse or cancel an order for reasons including availability, pricing or description errors, suspected fraud or inability to verify payment; where Poh Heng cancels, its terms describe a refund to the original payment method.

    The terms also state that purchases above S$20,000, and some orders associated with specified countries or jurisdictions, require identity verification and in-person boutique collection. This requirement comes from Poh Heng's current transaction terms and should be checked for the exact order.

    Poh Heng states that 24K/999 and 22K/916.6 jewellery carries its mark, a Singapore Assay Office hallmark and a fineness mark, subject to an exception for products weighing less than one gram. Its terms also state that only gold bars weighing 10 grams or more are serialised. A hallmark or serial number helps identify a product; it does not establish that the retail price is close to underlying gold value or that every product qualifies as Singapore Investment Precious Metals.

    Cash buy-back: what is eligible?

    Poh Heng's current FAQ says its cash buy-back route applies only to gold jewellery originally bought from Poh Heng:

    • eligible gold categories are Poh Heng 22K/916.67 and 24K/999 products;
    • 18K/750 gold is not eligible for cash buy-back, though it may be considered for trade-in;
    • customers should bring the original purchase receipt; and
    • original identification is required for the transaction.

    The FAQ directs customers to a boutique for the current buy-back rate, eligibility and terms. Do not use Poh Heng's retail selling rate as if it were the cash amount Poh Heng will pay. Ask for the final cash offer for the exact item before accepting the sale.

    Trade-in is different from cash buy-back

    Poh Heng's brand-trust page describes trade-in for a new item separately from cash buy-back. For Poh Heng 18K/750, 22K/916.67 and 24K/999 gold products, it states a trade-in value of 95% of gross-weight gold value based on the prevailing retail gold price on the day of trade-in. This published percentage belongs to that trade-in route and should not be presented as a universal cash buy-back percentage.

    The same page says non-Poh Heng gold jewellery is not eligible for Poh Heng cash buy-back, but may be considered for trade-in on a willing-buyer, willing-seller basis. Current eligibility, the rate used, item assessment, deductions and the required replacement purchase should be confirmed at a boutique before proceeding.

    For wider preparation, read How to Sell Gold in Singapore and compare the right transaction type in the Gold Buy-Back guide. A cash sale, retailer trade-in and pawn loan are different transactions and should not be compared as though they were the same offer.

    Ministry of Law registration: what it does and does not mean

    The Ministry of Law's registered-dealer page, updated 12 October 2026, links to the current register listing POH HENG JEWELLERY (PRIVATE) LIMITED, registration PS20190000323. Poh Heng's own website commonly uses the shorter style POH HENG JEWELLERY PTE LTD.

    Ministry of Law guidance says this registration concerns anti-money laundering, countering terrorism financing and countering proliferation financing requirements for precious-stones and precious-metals dealers. It is not an approval or endorsement of Poh Heng's products, prices, investment merits or customer outcomes, and it should not be presented that way.

    How to compare Poh Heng with another jeweller

    1. Match purity, item weight and product type.
    2. Ask for the complete payable price, including workmanship, stones, discounts and GST treatment.
    3. Keep a retail selling rate separate from an underlying gold-content reference value.
    4. If future resale matters, compare the exact cash buy-back or trade-in rules, required receipt and eligibility.
    5. Check the quote and terms at the same time; jewellery rates and policies change.

    Gold.com.sg does not rank jewellers as permanently “best” or “cheapest”. Browse the Singapore provider directory and read how Gold compares providers before drawing a like-for-like conclusion.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is Poh Heng a bullion dealer?

    Poh Heng is presented here as a jewellery retailer. Its catalogue includes selected gold bars and medallions, but that does not make its jewellery rate a bullion price. Evaluate a bar using its exact weight, fineness, manufacturer, serialisation or packaging, complete purchase price and product-specific resale terms.

    Can I sell any gold to Poh Heng for cash?

    No. Poh Heng's current FAQ limits cash buy-back to eligible 22K/916.67 and 24K/999 gold jewellery originally bought from Poh Heng. It asks for the original receipt and identification. Non-Poh Heng jewellery may be considered for trade-in under separate terms.

    Does Poh Heng buy back 18K gold?

    Its current FAQ says Poh Heng 18K/750 gold is not eligible for cash buy-back but may be exchanged for a new product through the trade-in route. Confirm the current item-level terms at a boutique.

    Is Poh Heng's 95% figure a cash buy-back guarantee?

    No. The published 95% statement appears under Poh Heng's trade-in policy for a new item. The cash buy-back rate is not stated as that same fixed percentage; Poh Heng directs customers to a boutique for the prevailing cash rate and eligibility.

    Are Poh Heng's website gold rates the same as spot gold?

    No. They are retailer-published 22K/916.67 and 24K/999 rate inputs used in Poh Heng's jewellery sales. Gold.com.sg's reference value estimates metal content; neither figure alone is the final jewellery price or cash buy-back offer.

    Can I collect an online order from a Poh Heng boutique?

    Poh Heng's terms provide for self-collection, including collection by an authorised representative with specified documents. The retailer sends a notification when an order is ready. Confirm the selected boutique and collection requirements for the exact order.
