    Joyalukkas Singapore — Gold Rates, Buying, Buy-Back & Exchange

    Joyalukkas operates its Singapore jewellery business through Joyalukkas Jewellery International Pte Ltd, the entity identified on its Singapore website and terms page. Its current Singapore store locator lists three showrooms: Serangoon Road, Little India and Centrium Square.

    Gold.com.sg independently explains how Joyalukkas's published gold rates and Singapore transaction policies should be read. Gold.com.sg is published by MIRACALE Pte Ltd and is not Joyalukkas, its agent or a jewellery dealer.

    What Joyalukkas offers in Singapore

    The official Singapore website describes gold, diamond, platinum, precious-stone and pearl jewellery. Its gold collections include 22K and 18K jewellery for bridal, occasion and everyday use. Product ranges and stock vary, so confirm the exact item at the relevant showroom.

    Joyalukkas should be compared here as a jewellery retailer, not as a specialist investment-bullion dealer. The reviewed Singapore sources did not establish a current local bullion-bar catalogue or a standard bullion purchasing route. A jewellery piece can contain valuable gold, but its complete retail price and later resale treatment differ from a bullion bar quoted mainly by weight, fineness and premium.

    What do Joyalukkas's published gold rates mean?

    Joyalukkas publishes changing Singapore rates for 24K, 22K and 18K gold on its gold-rate page. Treat the page as a dated retailer reference and check its displayed update date before relying on it. This guide does not reproduce a numerical rate because the figures change.

    The published rate is not necessarily the final price of a finished jewellery item. Joyalukkas's own gold-rate explanation says the final jewellery price may also reflect workmanship, design, gemstones or other materials, applicable taxes and the retailer's pricing structure. Ask for the complete payable amount for the exact item rather than multiplying its gross weight by a displayed rate and assuming that result is the bill.

    For a separate estimate of the contained gold value, use Gold.com.sg's 916 gold reference guide or select the appropriate fineness in the Scrap Gold Calculator. A metal-content estimate is not a Joyalukkas retail quote, exchange valuation or cash buy-back offer.

    Buying from a Singapore showroom

    The current Singapore locator lists these showrooms:

    • Joyalukkas Jewellery Serangoon Road;
    • Joyalukkas Jewellery Little India; and
    • Joyalukkas Jewellery Centrium Square.

    Use the locator for current addresses, opening hours and contact details before visiting. The reviewed Singapore terms identify the Singapore entity and website-use rules, but they do not provide a complete current list of in-store payment methods or a sufficiently clear Singapore online-checkout process. Confirm accepted payment methods, item availability, the complete price, collection arrangements and invoice terms directly with the showroom before committing.

    Keep the invoice and any product or diamond certificate supplied. Joyalukkas's current exchange policy requires the original tax invoice for an exchange and also requires the original certificate for diamond jewellery.

    Cash buy-back: a prevailing rate with an unspecified deduction

    The Singapore Sales Return and Exchange Policy has a separate cash buy-back section for gold jewellery. It says items are purchased at the prevailing gold rate subject to the applicable standard rate deduction.

    The page does not publish a universal deduction percentage, a complete calculation method or a guaranteed cash amount for every gold item. It also does not clearly establish on that page whether every non-Joyalukkas item qualifies. Ask the showroom to confirm eligibility, testing or documentation requirements, the rate used, deductions, net weight and the final cash offer for the exact item.

    Do not treat Joyalukkas's retail selling rate as the amount the retailer will pay back. A selling rate and a cash purchase rate represent different sides of the transaction.

    Exchange or trade-in after 15 days

    Joyalukkas calls this route an exchange. Shoppers may informally describe it as a trade-in because the old item is valued toward another jewellery purchase, but the official exchange conditions should control the comparison.

    For gold jewellery exchanged after 15 days, the current Singapore policy says the item is valued at the standard buying rate on the day of exchange. It says stone weight, making charges, taxes and any discount given on the original invoice are deducted. The policy also states that an original tax invoice is mandatory for any exchange.

    This is different from an immediate cash sale. Before exchanging, ask for both the old item's itemised exchange valuation and the complete price of the replacement jewellery. A generous-sounding exchange value can still accompany new making charges or other costs on the replacement item.

    Sales return within 15 days is an exchange, not a cash refund

    For gold jewellery in original purchase condition, the current Singapore policy describes a sales return within 15 days from purchase as an exchange for jewellery. It permits one such exchange against an invoice and says the sales return is limited to the relevant region or country.

    The same policy states that there is no cash refund for sales returns or sales orders. Custom-made, specially ordered or altered products and offer or promotion items have additional exclusions. Check the policy and invoice conditions for the exact purchase rather than reading the homepage's “15 Days Return” message as a general cash-refund promise.

    Other deductions and exclusions to check

    For returns and exchanges, the current policy also says:

    • gifts or loyalty points may need to be returned or have their value deducted;
    • scrap-jewellery exchange is calculated on net weight, excluding stones, dust and similar material;
    • birthstones, semi-precious stones, coloured stones, pearls, zircon and certain other items have no stated exchange, cash-back or buy-back value under the policy; and
    • local taxes and duties, where applicable, are borne by the customer, including for exchanges.

    These conditions make an item-level quote essential. They should not be converted into a universal percentage or applied outside the product category described by the current policy.

    Ministry of Law registration: limited regulatory meaning

    The Ministry of Law's registered-dealer page, updated 12 October 2026, links to the current register listing JOYALUKKAS JEWELLERY INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD., registration PS20220002738.

    Ministry guidance says this registration concerns anti-money laundering, countering terrorism financing and countering proliferation financing requirements for precious-stones and precious-metals dealers. The Ministry does not audit, supervise or certify the dealer for any other purpose and makes no warranty or representation about any aspect of its business. Investment offerings are not approved or regulated under that registration. Registration should therefore not be presented as an endorsement of Joyalukkas's products, prices, investment merits or customer outcomes.

    How to compare a Joyalukkas quote

    Compare the same product and transaction basis:

    1. Match gold purity, net gold weight and product type.
    2. Ask for the complete purchase price, including making charges, stones, discounts and tax treatment.
    3. Record the date and time of the retailer's gold rate and the complete item quote.
    4. If future resale matters, request the current cash buy-back and exchange terms separately.
    5. For an exchange, compare the old item's valuation and the full replacement-item cost.
    6. Keep jewellery pricing separate from bullion pricing and from a metal-content reference estimate.

    Frequently asked questions

    Is Joyalukkas a bullion dealer in Singapore?

    The reviewed Singapore sources support describing Joyalukkas as a jewellery retailer. They do not establish a current Singapore investment-bullion catalogue or standard bullion purchase route. Confirm any specific bar or coin directly rather than assuming jewellery-rate terms apply to bullion.

    Are Joyalukkas's displayed gold rates the final jewellery price?

    Not necessarily. The final quote can include making charges or workmanship, design, stones or other materials, taxes, discounts and retailer pricing. Obtain the complete item price.

    Does Joyalukkas publish a fixed cash buy-back percentage for gold jewellery?

    No universal gold cash buy-back percentage was found in the current Singapore policy. It refers to the prevailing gold rate and an applicable standard deduction without publishing a complete formula. Ask for the final cash offer for the exact item.

    Is exchange the same as cash buy-back?

    No. Cash buy-back pays for an accepted item. Exchange values an item toward another jewellery purchase under separate conditions and deductions. Compare the replacement item's full price as well as the exchange credit.

    Can I receive a cash refund within 15 days?

    The current gold-jewellery sales-return wording describes an exchange in original purchase condition within 15 days, limited to one exchange against an invoice. The policy also says there is no cash refund for sales returns or sales orders, with further exclusions for certain items.

    Does Ministry of Law registration mean Joyalukkas is approved as an investment provider?

    No. The registration concerns AML/CFT/CPF requirements for regulated dealing. Ministry guidance says it is not certification or approval for other purposes and does not cover investment offerings.
